Alex Ross Art

Alex Ross is best known for his realistic human depictions of classic comic book characters. He’s one my personal favorites because he takes a realistic look at superheroes by presenting them from the point of view of an ordinary man. And for an overgrown kid/young adult, what more could you ask for?? Not to mention he went from working as a storyboard artist for an ad agency to fulfilling his dream of becoming a world renowned comic book artist and entrepreneur. Salute! Check out some of my favorite works of his in addition to a word from the man himself!

Alfred: “Know your limits, Master Wayne.”
Bruce Wayne: “Batman has no limits.”
Alfred: “Well, you do, sir.”
Bruce Wayne: “Well, can’t afford to know ‘em.”

I always thought those lines from ‘The Dark Knight‘ were inspired by this piece.

Yup, you remember these from the intro of Spider-Man 2!
